Drug Warnings
Do not use Easenect Tablet if you are allergic to any of the components. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to get pregnant, or breastfeeding. Let your doctor know if you have circulatory collapse (specific failure of the blood circulation), depressed level of consciousness due to any cause (e.g. intoxication with alcohol, opiates or barbiturates), untreated narrow-angle glaucoma, coma, blood disorders, phaeochromocytoma (a small vascular tumour), recent myocardial infarction, any degree of atrioventricular block or disorders of cardiac rhythm and coronary artery insufficiency. Concomitant treatment of Easenect Tablet with MAOIs (monoamine oxidase inhibitors) is contraindicated as it may cause serotonin syndrome (a combination of symptoms, possibly including confusion, agitation, tremor, hyperthermia and myoclonus). Therefore, do not take Easenect Tablet if you are taking MAOIs or have taken them in the past 14 days.
Drug Interactions
Drug-Drug Interactions: Easenect Tablet may interact with MAO inhibitors (isocarboxazid, phenelzine), barbiturates (pentobarbital, phenobarbital), CNS depressants (diazepam, clonazepam, alprazolam), and neuroleptics (thioridazine, chlorpromazine).
Drug-Food Interactions: Limit or avoid the consumption of alcohol.
Drug-Disease Interactions: Easenect Tablet should not be used in patients with circulatory collapse (specific failure of the blood circulation), depressed level of consciousness, untreated narrow-angle glaucoma, coma, blood disorders, phaeochromocytoma (a small vascular tumour), recent myocardial infarction, any degree of atrioventricular block or disorders of cardiac rhythm and coronary artery insufficiency.
- It is not safe to drink alcohol while taking this medication.
- Easenect Tablet should be used in pregnant women only if clinically necessary, and the benefits exceed the risks. Due to the potential for neonatal withdrawal symptoms, the therapy should be discontinued 14 days before delivery by gradually decreasing the dosage.
- No significant research has been conducted on the use of Easenect Tablet in breastfeeding/nursing mothers. Please consult your doctor.
- Easenect Tablet may cause drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery if you feel dizzy.
